New Building

Today we held church in the new building which we were able to rent.  We were able to take possession of the building on Friday so yesterday, Saturday was spent cleaning the building.  We also had to find a table to use.   We were able to find a table that came with four chairs.  We took the box over to the church building and assembled the table and chairs.  The furnishings are pretty sparse at this time, but it was so nice to have a place to hold church and we will get more furnishings this week when we go to Sarajevo.  In addition to the four chairs that came with the table we have six folding chairs.  All six folding chairs were filled today.  The four missionaries, our member, and two investigators.

Friday was a great day for us!  We not only got the building for church, we got our car back.  The car has been done since the 5th of October, but the payment from the insurance company did not show as a deposit in the dealership account.   So no money, no car.  Finally the money was there and we were able to pick up our car and return the rental car.

Last Sunday after church we went to Zagreb, Croatia so we could meet with doctors and our humanitarian medical specialists from Salt Lake to see about a potential Neonatal Resuscitation training project for next year.  It doesn't look like that is going to work out, but we had a great time in Zagreb.

Look what we got on Friday.  It was so nice to look at our mailbox which is usually empty and see mail.  It was a letter from our daughter, Reachel.  It also had some lovely artwork from Coco.  And some chairpads.  The chairs move so nicely and quietly now.  Thank you Bagleys.

 This next week we will spend the majority of our time in Sarajevo.  We have a Vision Specialist and his wife (Ike and Gloria Ferguson) coming from the States.  We will try to develop a vision project in either Sarajevo or Tuzla.  We also have a Zone Conference on Wednesday.  So it looks like a full week, but it is so nice to be busy and have things to do. 

 

As we come to the end of another week we are grateful and thankful for the many who remember us in their prayers.  As President Monson said in his conference address "The Lord is in the details of our lives."  The experiences we are having do not seem like much at the time but we know these experiences have happened for a reason and we have and will learn from them.  It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.  This we do know - the Lord is mindful of us and his spirit can and will always be with us.
