First Baptism

Yesterday, October 13th, we had our first baptism in Tuzla.  A terrific young man with a great future in the church.

Earlier this week we were able to identify a location where we will be able to hold church and teach English classes.  The space is located in the center of town.  It will be easy for people to find.  We are so excited!  We will be able to hold church there next Sunday.

We are in Zagreb, Croatia tonight.  Tomorrow we will meet with doctors to see about setting up a Neonatal Resuscitation Training next Spring.

During the week we were able to buy supplies to be used to build a security fence around a building that will house a wood working program for a sheltered workshop. We were also able to help them to purchase a compressor and will help them obtain  a vacuum system to be used in the workshop once the fence is built.  The fence will help secure the equipment and make the program safer and more productive.

We really enjoyed being able to listen to conference last week and to download the talks onto our electronics.  We feel confident that President Uchtdorf would approve of this use.  There were so many talks that we felt were just for us.  Having conference messages to study and listen to for the next six months is really a great asset.

On Thursday we turned in all the paperwork to apply for our visa in Bosnia.  Now we will wait for a visit from the police (they come by our apartment to make sure we are living there).  After the visit they will issue our visa.
